Backroad Rescue Brigade is a volunteer-powered non-profit organization, we would not exist without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. The number of dogs depends on the number of people we have helping us. We are always looking for new volunteers.
There are many ways you can volunteer with Backroad Rescue Brigade. From the early stages of preparing for our animals's arrival, to meeting them at transport, to helping at adoption events, and then following up after adoption, every step along on the animal's journey relies on volunteers.
ON GOING VOLUNTEERS
There are many different ways to volunteer! B.R.B. is made up of volunteer teams, each of which plays a critical role in saving our dogs. Depending on the particular volunteer role, the time commitment can be as little as an hour a month or as much time as you have to give! If you have any questions, please contact us
Fosters
provide a short term, loving and stable environment for a BRB dog while he or she waits to meet their new forever family.
Event cordinator
Assist in coordinating foster, dog and volunteer attendance for adoption events that take place once a month.
Administrative Support
Assisting with the many operation and organizational administrative tasks required to keep B.R.B. moving smoothly. This may include data entry, paperwork, running errands etc.
Adoption screener
Assist in pre-approving adopters by reviewing applications, contacting landlord/vet offices, conducting phone screens and setting up home visits.
